Today, we’ll put A.I on the spot. The spot it loves to be because you’ll agree that A.I has been more in the news in recent times. Yes 👍, A.I loves the spotlight. We’ll examine some of the most incredible A.I products and creations one by one, and this is us giving A.I and the people who work on it the flowers they deserve.
Now, what do we have here?

Tesla’s self-driving cars
It’s one of Elon Musk’s babies and you have to admit this is next-level stuff. These are cars that drive themselves as the name implies and boy do they drive themselves!
There are fondly called the "Autopilot” hence the adoption of the name in industries with products that “work on their own”.
The AI-powered systems make use of cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles and other vehicles on the road.
Let's look at the Tesla as an advanced driver-assistant system, because this is what they are designed to be. The human in the car is responsible for monitoring the car 🚘 to be able to take over manual control of it if need be.
With that out of the way, the Tesla is still amazing in its superpowers 🦸 and you have to understand it by yourself to get a picture 🖼️ in mind. And that's why I'm doing my best to paint 🎨🖌️ the picture for you.
It is innovation at its fullest, to say the least, to witness a machine understand road signs and navigate the traffic as humans would normally do.
The Tesla self-driving car is another breakthrough in the already surreal and miracle-associated automotive industry 🏭.
Why? you ask
There was a time when people 👫 could only commute by feet 👣, then the donkeys came along, and then came the buggy rides. Now, you understand why cars are a jaw-dropping phenomenon not to mention the ones that drive themselves.
Exactly! Now you get the picture.
Excellence is no doubt an operational watchword in the four walls of Tesla as they are continually working to improve their self-driving technology. Plans are already being set in motion to eventually achieve full autonomy.
“Full autonomy” because as previously explained Tesla is yet to be independent of human contribution.
AI-Powered Google Assistant
Google Assistant is a fave because it makes almost everyone and anyone a boss and gives off that CEO and assistant vibes.
It sort of makes the user feel served because all you have to do is speak and you suddenly have to say no more!
Why?
It has got you covered.
No sooner than you can complete the words of your search or request, you already have the results you asked for.
That's the wonder of A.I!
Google Assistant much like Amazon's Alexa uses natural language processing and machine learning processes to provide users with services and resources.
They also offer personalized experiences, based on the user’s previous interactions with the assistant. They work on various devices namely smartphones, speakers, and smart displays.
They can perform a variety of functions and can be integrated into third-party apps that can enable the easy performance of a task such as ordering pizza. Other apps include Uber 🚖, Spotify, and Google Maps to name a few.
In other words, this technology makes life easier for humans to a large extent. It makes it convenient for people to manage their homes and daily lives.
Meet Flo (Menstrual cycle tracker)
This right here is A.I’s gift 📦 to womanhood and their relationships by extension.
Good reviews fawn over this ultimate teller of the future describing the embarrassment 🤦 it can save you from saying “Gosh! If only you knew 🤫”
Flo is an AI-powered period tracker among others like Center and Meet You. It uses artificial intelligence for accurate menstrual cycle predictions.
You can monitor your reproductive health 🏥 with just an app that is in sync with how your body works, essentially using the information you provide it with. Your reproductive health is covered to the efficiency extent of the tracker you use because It predicts what irregularities and delays could mean for you potentially.
With these AI-powered trackers, women can gain insights into the length of their cycle, the duration of their period, and the timing of ovulation to adequately prepare for that time of the month.
This information also helps women plan their events and activities accordingly.
Innovator of The Week
Reward Perfection Ihechiluru popular known as Ian Reward is the founder of telecommunication-based startup Silfrica.
This innovation was born out of Ian’s sense of responsibility as a leader.
You know what they say “Behind every innovation is a spurring problem”, so here goes the story…
In his undergraduate days as the Public Relations Officer of the newly formed council at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, he experienced several lapses in communication. WhatsApp groups and other outdated methods suffer inconsistency and other challenges, and they had to be a way out because crucial information had to be disseminated and fast.
All these and hosting and hosting an Airtel event on campus birth the platform that allows students to partner with businesses across industries, facilitating the sharing of resources and knowledge.
This is the story of the Silfrica, we know today.
Ian Reward is excited that Silfrica is on its way to achieving its goal of exploring Africa's greatest resource: its people.
Ian Reward is quite the motivational speaker, as he has so much to say to the upcoming innovators who are still sitting on the fence.
