It’s been a rough couple of days for everyone, and we imagine that you’ve had it the hardest, Dear Innovator 🥹
What did your users say during the disconnection downtime? How were they able to access your products and solutions? What did you do to keep the peace in the meantime?
Incase you don’t know it yet, we were experiencing a nationwide network issue due to damages to some undersea submarine cables along the coast of West Africa, and according to reports, it might take about 2-3 weeks to fix it 😒 The effect of the damage was more severe in some other West African countries too.
It’s not news, we are bound to experience network issues from time to time (funny that we’ve even normalized this now), but this one was not the fault of the usual culprits 🤠so how do we guard against future situations like that?
Of the different ways that you can handle it, and the answer lies in the core character traits that make you an innovator!
Curiosity and creativity. There’s hardly anyone that has created something great (or even something average, for that matter) that didn’t feel the need to poke the sack, just a little bit. Innovators are usually described as ‘outside-of-the-box’ thinkers, so if this describes you, you’re on the right track! 😉…
Bet that your creative wheels started turning the moment that people couldn’t access your product’s website, no?
Open-mindedness. Although it’s closely related to the first point, it’s a little bit different. Innovators are usually receptive to new ways of doing things and where others see one problem, innovators see 99 ways to solve ‘em…
It was someone’s ideas that led us to using undersea cables for internet connection. What will be a better way around it in the future?. Hmmm 🤔
Networking. Innovators are masters at building and keeping relationships, because they understand the importance of an enriched circle. It’s cliche, we know 😂🙄, but the saying ‘Your network determines your net worth’ always rings true for a problem solver…
