Hey Dear Innovator
There’s a lotttttt going on 😅😅
Where do we begin with the pleasantries???
First things first…. It’ssssss aaaaaa
Happy New Month, Solution builder 😉😉. Welcome to the second month of the second quarter!!
You made it here. How does it feel, huh?
What did you achieve last month?
What are your goals for May?
Do they fit into the bigger picture of the vision/goals/mission of the organisation you work with or the solution you are building? 🤔🤔
What were you most consistent with during the last 30 days?
What habits do you plan to keep or trash in this month?
These questions can go on for ages, so you’ll need a breather to think about it for a minute. It’s necessary 😉😉
While you’re here, please share this post. It’ll help us reach a bunch of innovators who need to be here, just like you. As always, thanksssss 😇😇
Well, well, well, word on the street is that today is not just the first of the month, it’s workers’ day as well!
Now, what’s a well-functioning beehive without its worker-bees?
Or an unfailing machine without the nuts and bolts?
What’s a ship that’s bound for an exciting adventure, without the deckhands that keep it clean and running? 🤔🤔
Yep, that’s right!
When all the puns that we can handle have been said and done 🤭🤭, a team is only a team because of the members that make it up and today we recognize ‘em for it.
One of the ways to show appreciation to your idea executioners is by prioritizing their safety and well-being in a changing world 🌍🌍
Because this can mean different things to different team leaders, aaaand because we love any excuse to come up with a list, [No comments will be received at this time. T for Tenks 👀] , here’s one below to show you how to make your team members feel more at ease while they work 💫💫💫
An office with the vibe: For onsite workers, nothing says ‘I appreciate you’ more than an office that’s cool and comfortable. This includes comfortable seating, a cool interior, access to cool drinking water at all times and designated relaxation areas to encourage creativity. A lot of organisations have also been known to offer flexible work arrangements during extreme weather or economic conditions, like the fuel scarcity issue that some states are currently facing 😕
For remote workers, the rules apply differently but the love can still be extended to them by creating a budget for a workstation set-up or an online fireside chat to just check in on them. At the end of the day, it’s all about the intentions.
Invest in employee well-being initiatives: This can come in form of offering mental health resources, or promoting a healthy work-life balance, with paid work-leave and vacations ❤️❤️ By doing this, you create a culture of rest and of open communication where employees feel comfortable voicing concerns about their physical and mental health, and how it can impact their overall output.
Goodwill messages when they fit: Especially on a day like this, sending goodwill messages 💌 to celebrate your employees ticks all the right boxes in the employer handout. It shows a meaningful appreciation for their hard work and dedication, and although it’s a small gesture in the grand scheme of things, it’s the thought that counts 😇
Others include organising a team outing, inviting experts to handle a workshop on stress management and more. The possibilities are endless, all it takes is the will!
By prioritizing their safety and well-being as the world around changes, you not only show your employees that you value them but also build a more resilient and adaptable workforce that can thrive in the face of new challenges.
Sooo Dear Innovator, which of these will you be trying out this month? 🤝🤝
