Hi Dear Innovator š
Itās another Wednesday for deep breaths and deep thoughts š¤
First, how are ya? ā¦. (wave back when you see this)
The next few questions are for you to think about when no-oneās looking š
When was the last time that you felt really good about yourself?
When was the last time that you visited the hospitalāand it wasnāt an emergency?
Do you remember a time when certain parts of your body didnāt hurt? Is that the case lately?
On a scale of 1-10, how physically fit are you?
(1: being the worst, 10: being the best)
If you came up with good answers, yay!, good job!ā¦ we never doubted you for a minute š„³ššŗ
Buuuut if your answers are iffy, sit tight for these hard truths. It might sting a little tooā¦
A well-rounded Innovator is someone thatās able to prioritize their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, all while skillfully handling the demands of running a business/brandā all the necessary elements of a healthy work-life balance.
Tbvh, itās a little frightening when reports show that less than 5% of adults are doing 30 minutes of exercise everyday! š² Are you part of that 5%, Dear Innovator?
While we understand that maintaining a work-life balance might mean different things to different people, weāve come up with a few tips to help you out, as you take care of yourself in the best way that you can:
Exercise, even if itās not intense. A walk or a quick jog can be just as helpful as a gym session. Then do it as often as possible.
Plan your meals. On a particularly stressful day (everyone gets one of those š), itās easy to reach for meals that āfeel goodā. Even though cheat days are allowed, planning your meals will most likely help you to stay on top of things.
Manage your screen time, especially before bed. We know š, this one might be particularly hard to do but hey, it was worth mentioning š¤š
When you can afford to, give time to completely relax. Close all your tabs, meditate, go off the radar for a little bit, do a social media detox, take a solo trip, and be back with a bang like you never left!
Which of these will you try out first???
GO Silfrica!ā¦
Joining the 10th cohort of the 2024 Tony Elumelu entrepreneurship programme beneficiaries, Silfrica has been awarded a sum of $5,000! š±ššŗ
As a student, a creator, or a business, Silfrica is the one-stop shop for all things campus-related. They are doing this by creating a means by which creators can team up with brands, all while earning some cash on the side and still keeping up with their studies š„³
Using Silfrica, businesses can also show off their stuff to the campus crowd and boost their brand while they're at it. They are also making it possible for different brands and institutions to be able to chat their customers, who are also students.
Led by Ian Reward (Silfricaās CEO and member of the Consonance Community of Innovators) we look forward to more updates from Silfrica, excitement and all! š„³
