C = Community Building 👥🫂
Whether you’re looking for new users for your solution, collaborators, mentors, or just a solid support system, building a strong network is the secret weapon 🤫 that most tech solution providers rely on.
With the highs and lows that come with operating in the African tech scene, a strong network isn’t just beneficial; it’s essential. Your community can either be your cheer squad for when things are nice and right for you 🤗🤗, orrrr they can be your sounding board for corrections, if you’re in the middle of releasing a new product.
The big question ❔ mark here is that despite knowing all this, a lot of solution providers are either not building a much needed community around their solutions or they are not leveraging the ones on hand.
Dear Innovator, plEASe don’t be caught in that category 😒😒
This quarter, you can make it one of your goals to create a Community around your solution. You can get started by doing the following:
Be Genuine. When you’re networking, it’s shouldn’t just be about what you can get – it’s about what you can give too. Be authentic ⚡, offer help, and build relationships based on trust, mutual respect and shared interests.
Offer Value. People naturally gravitate towards people and groups that let them in on info that they don’t know, and such. Even if what you have to offer at the start is a simpler way of doing things, you’ll find your tribe eventually.
Use the feedback, suggestions, and even criticisms you receive as gold 🧈 mines of information to help you improve your product and strategy
If you’re feeling up to it, look 🧐 for avenues to co-create something with members of your community.
Don’t forget to engage online, attend events, host some events yourself (webinars, Q&A sessions, workshops) and stay as active as you can.
Easy, right? 😉
Now, how soon will you get started? 🫣🫣

#ATE 2024 RECAP 💪💪
We're over the moon 🌙🌙 about our successful partnership with Africa Technology Expo (ATE).
Back in April, we’d announced our technical partnership with ATE to bring #ATE 2024 to life and on the 22nd of June, last month, we delivered, hands down! 😌😌
Consonance Club was in the thick of it all… like we always do.
Prior to the D-day, we set up pitch workshops for interested techies to get familiar with how to deliver a pitch in a short amount of time, and all the nitty gritty. On the day of the event, we also managed the Pitch Battleground, coordinated the activities, and connected with inspiring speakers and tech enthusiasts.
Our team brought energy 🔥 and expertise 💥 to #ATE2024, making it an unforgettable experience.
If you missed it 🫣 don’t worry. Check out the highlights and event deets on X and IG
Accelerating the Growth of Startups with Consonance’s Faculty-in-Residence Program🌟🚀
The FIR program is crafted to give startups a turbo boost by connecting them with seasoned pros and experienced startup operators.
We're all about innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth within our vibrant ecosystem 🌱✨ and the FIR program is one of those ways of seeing it through.
Some of our participants so far include: Olumide Abayomi of RaizeHQ and Paul Akolade of Vant.
Throughout the program’s duration, the participants were mentored by the delightful Ahmed Odufuwa, a faculty member of the Faculty-in-Residence (FIR) Program, and we are excited about the testimonials that they’ve all shared from its outcome.
Is this our sign to do more? You bet it is!! 😉😉
Be back here on Saturday cos there’s always more to discover. Also, do good work this quarter, Innovator.
Ciao 👋👋
