Midweek Check-In: Communities for Early-Stage Builders 🔥
Not ready to pitch for funding? Just wanna build, test, and stay sane? You're not alone
Shabooya, Dear Innovator 👋
How has June been treating you? Any updates you’d like to share?
(tap tap, and tell us all about it 👇)
Here’s the thing…
We understand the energy it takes to build something from zero, and how you’re constantly building in-between DMs, scraping together product ideas, and testing things that might flop
Let’s talk about communities that actually get what you’re doing. K?
1) Consonance Club
We are a community of African tech innovators, and we act as a soundboard, to share, grow and support innovators/builders at any stage of your journey.
Whether you're validating a problem, tweaking your offer, or trying to figure out why users are ghosting your MVP, at Consonance Club, we give you the network and language to build better.
We do this through our founders’ spotlight, growth nudges, share real feedback, give access to opportunities, and lots more.
🟡 If your idea is still marinating, if your landing page is still ugly (but honest 😉), and if you just want peers who get it?
You’re welcome to join us here
2) Co-Creation Hub (CcHub)
It’s one of Africa’s most prominent tech hub with programs for ideation-stage founders (e.g. their pre-incubation program, The Design Lab)
They are located in Lagos, Kigali, Nairobi, but they also support virtual founders. Check ‘em out here.
3) Jasiri Talent Investor (East Africa)
This is a program for individuals (not teams) to explore startup building before you even have an idea. They do this through strong support for founders in their ideation and early validation stage.
Think you might give it a try? Here you go! 😜
