It’s Been One Helluva Ride….
Over the years, Many African tech innovators have been doing the most by bringing some ah-mazingggg tech solutions to life! Full products and features alike.
It’s really insane (in a good way) and true to our kind of spiel, we’re spotlighting 11 of ‘em 🤭🤭
Plentify, the Cape Town-based energy-tech company, has redefined the meaning of smart home products, with the right combination hardware, AI, and user-centric design. The result? HotBot! 😍 This high-tech gadget turns your electric or solar water heater into a smart system, making it easy to control your hot water and keep track of your savings.
Bosso, the Zambian e-commerce platform, has been making some waves in Zambia's construction industry too. With over 1,000 hardware stores, and 200 home builders on board, Bosso aims is to address Africa's housing deficit head-on…. AND they raised $400k pre-seed funding to set this in motion! 💪
In Nigeria, Moove has been instrumental in helping people buy cars by offering them a payment plan based on what they earn 🥺. This is especially helpful for drivers who run deliveries and ride-hailing services, giving them the chance to own their vehicles and create jobs for themselves. They also operate in other African countries like South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, and Uganda.
The Mauritian company Kyosk, specialises in providing digital solutions for retail logistics and supply chain management, helping small retailers and farmers to streamline their operations and improve efficiency.
Then there’s KongaTV, the 24-hour platform that’s focused on connecting buyers and sellers in real-time with unbeatable deals 💯, and our very own Blueroomcare, with their recently launched community that’s focused on women’s mental health.
These are only 6 of the 11…
They were picked randomly, and the point to all this is to show you, Dear Innovator, that the opportunities are endless if you want to make a change. It just takes an open mind, a couple of dedicated people on your side and mad grit.
Do you stand a chance against the crowd??
Be back for part 2, when we cover the rest and the lessons to learn from all of ‘em 🫶🫶
