Let's get into this!
Our aim with this newsletter is to ensure that you are not only up to date on the basics of innovation but also inspired and sophisticated to create innovative things. Is it working? let us know by replying to this email with hints to what you are building.
The ARPANET (Internet)
What we know about the internet today is that it's something we can't live without. Honestly, it can be likened to the air we breathe, little wonder GLO says “Data is life” Data, being the WIFI (fuel) with which we surf the internet.
If you thought this week’s story similar to last week’s would name an inventor of the internet, something like a Judah Rutherford I-Too-Know or a William Becker Forget-me-not. You might as well forget about it. You gerrit? If you don’t gerrit …
The humble beginnings…
It was a warm tech afternoon …
The ARPANET, an academic research network funded by the military’s Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) was in full operation under the administration of Bob Taylor in 1960.
It’s safe to say that the nerds and computer technicians didn't know that this research would be a ground-breaking fit in the human history. An innovation that would deliver to us our beloved memes and in due time a Metaverse and humorous users that say things like👇.
And the rest they say is history…
In case you didn’t catch it, the ARPANET is now the internet and it’s awesome!
Now you can do things like…

The Internet In Recent Times
A little poem for the Internet
Oh, what would we do without you?
Honestly, the things we could really do without you 🤔
Probably focus on our dreams and aspirations more
But oh, you make them better too
Cause everything we desire and more are in your archives
And you make our wishes come true.
To say that ARPANET was a successful project would be the greatest understatement of all time. More than 2 billion of the world population employ its services and most services thrive on its efficient connections.
Tech-savvy individuals can now proffer solutions to life's biggest problems like connecting everyone globally and even simplifying cross-border payments to name a few.
Now…
ChatGPT
It seems that the creation of social media platforms and payment methods were only scratching the surface of the many layers of the awesomeness of the internet.
ChatGPT - there we said it, the words on everybody's lips
A role player in the layoffs of humans
The 10 seconds route to having answers to what you want
And the most recent innovation of the internet
Honestly, this is the closest some of us would get to having our robots.
Just when I was learning to explore the many links google presents to me when I enter a search…
Boom 💥
I get an artificial intelligence computer program that understands and responds to my messages just like a human would.
Note
The internet is an echo of things still to come because what we know for sure is that greater innovation lies ahead in the confines of the internet.
